All the water falling down from the sky makes Pitts Pond a wet site; the month of July is the wettest with most of the       rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Pitts Pond has to offer, you can camp at R&D Family Campground; there's whitewater on North Anna River for all you adrenaline people. If you go for the outdoors, you'll adore Pitts Pond. There's so much to do here at Pitts Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Campground 721 is a magnificent spot for that; hiking is a popular thing to do around Pitts Pond;                  Wilderness Trail is a good local trail. All through the months of summer highs here at Pitts Pond reach the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Pitts Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Little River - North Anna Tributary, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cedar Trail.
