A lot of rain falls at Persimmon Pond; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most, and December meanwhile       is the driest month. The Marshall Draft Trail is a fine hiking trail near Persimmon Pond, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; The Homestead is pretty near. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great earth it would be. On a glorious day at Persimmon Pond you can take a hike along the Tower Hill Mountain Trail, and float down the rapids of Bullpasture River in a kayak. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Persimmon Pond.
