Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Perkins Pond. Appomattox River is a fine whitewater spot near Perkins Pond. There's so much to do here at Perkins Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Petersburg Koa Kampground is a fine spot for that. For the period of the summer months at Perkins Pond highs are usually in the       80's with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Perkins Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Perkins Pond there are plenty of people from Richmond, and Bodlies Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. Perkins Pond is a reasonably wet place usually with a large amount of rain; most of the rain falls during July while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation.                  Some close by water includes Health Meadows Branch, and Perkins Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Camptown Campground is a glorious local campground.
