A visit to Pandapas Pond is always a good idea. After a long day outdoors Hawthorn Blacksburg University is a fine location to spend a night or two, and Pandapas Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, New River Junction Campground is a brilliant local campground. That right there is a load already, but it goes on; Pandapas Pond has it all. This lake is so wonderful. A fine spot to camp here at Pandapas Pond is Interstate Overnight Park, and close

| | by you locate Wash Hollow which is a magnificent site to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Roanoke River - North Fork in a kayak, and an afternoon playing golf at Blacksburg Municipal Golf Course is always a bliss. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Blacksburg, Va, and paddling on Little Stony Creek is so much fun. Gap Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Pandapas Pond; why not a little side visit to Greenbrier Branch. | |

Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford here; do take a hike on the Poverty Creek Horse Trail. Have a great hiking adventure along the War Spur Trail; there are other sites here than Pandapas Pond, for example Hoge Pond. Summer brings
highs in the 80's to Pandapas Pond with night lows in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Pandapas Pond.
