Summer brings highs in the 80's to Owens Pond. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Owens Pond throughout the winter typically descend into the 20's. Beaches are pleasant; and Neals Beach close to Owens Pond is no exception, and Chesapeake Bay-Smith Island is a wonderful campground nearby. There's       just no way someone can get bored here at Owens Pond. Stay the night at Reedville Koa Kampgrpound. After a long day outdoors Tides Inn is a fine site to spend a night or two, and Bridge Neck is rather close. Owens Pond is a rather wet place commonly with lots of rainfall; all through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. A swamp like Bell Swamp close to Owens Pond has lots of interesting things to see,                  and one of the best things about this location is its proximity to Ginny Beach.
