Sure, Timberlake Pond is in the neighborhood, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn CHARLOTTESVILLE-MONTICELLO. Not far from Olympic Lake, you'll come across Reynovia Lake which is a wonderful lake, and the sight of Carters Mountain is delightful. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Sleep Inn & Suites Monticello is a delightful choice; there are some great whitewater spots on Rivanna River. Charlottesville Koa Kampground is a nice       campground nearby; you can stay the night at James River Runners. Man, is there a heap of exciting stuff to do right next door to Olympic Lake. While you're here at Olympic Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Charlottesville, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Hardware River - North Fork. Olympic Lake gets a large amount of water; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is January. All                  through the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 80's at Olympic Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Olympic Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
