Oliver Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. There's fine hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. At Oliver Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Oliver Lake drop into the 10's. | | at Oliver Dam, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Leesburg is a perfect place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid site for whitewater paddling close to Oliver Lake is Potomac River, and enjoy a round of golf at Westpark Golf Club. Here at Oliver Lake you can make out Steptoe Hill, and don't leave Oliver Lake without first going for a hike along the Loudoun Heights Trail. here at Oliver Lake, and needless to say, this is a wonderful vicinity for people who like lakes, Izaak Walton League Pond is a lake in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is Goodstone Inn; do have
a look at Beaverdam Creek if you're here at Oliver Lake. A common amount of rain falls here at Oliver Lake; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Man, is there a lot of exciting things
to do in the vicinity of Oliver Lake. Get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Goose Creek, and Greenville Farm Family Campground is a delightful campground nearby. Stay the night at Turtle Run Campground, and in all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Kingsley Lake is just a very short distance away.

 | 10 miles away Tried to put in at the Fairfax Dam but the City of Fairfax has closed the road and posted no trespassing signs everywhere. Seem to be pretty serious about prosecuting violators and towing cars. The portage around dam is too hard for rafts and steep for others.... |
