Virginia has many beautiful lakes and Oliver Lake is one of them. During the warm days of summer here at Oliver Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, regularly in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Oliver Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. | | Golf Club, and on a lovely day you obtain a wonderful vista of Steptoe Hill from Oliver Lake. Take a side trip to Beaverdam Creek, and the Loudoun Heights Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by.

Lots of people from Hagerstown-Martinsburg come to Oliver Lake, and there is a great hiking trail nearby
called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Oliver Dam, and perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure,
Izaak Walton League Pond is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Goose Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Turtle Run Campground is a nice spot to camp.
