Playing golf is lots of fun at Mattaponi Springs Golf Club, and a brilliant close by hotel is Days Inn Carmel Church/Kings Dominion. For the period of the summer at Old Grays Pond highs are usually in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Old Grays Pond are in the 20's. Old Grays       Pond is a good place of common rainfall; most of the rain falls through May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a picturesque lake called Martin Pond near Old Grays Pond, and if you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Express Inn - Ruther Glen is a great choice. Be careful coming to Old Grays Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Mays Run is a stream that you may come across while here, and North                  Anna River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Old Grays Pond is right by the Overland Trail, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Richmond here. Why not camp at Fredericksburg Koa Kampground while you're here at Old Grays Pond, and whitewater paddling is great on Little River - North Anna Tributary. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Old Grays Dam, and a tremendous spot to camp here at Old Grays Pond is Milford Koa Kampground.
