The Coon Trail offers hiking at its best; a stunning lake like Old Grays Millpond is a good location to go to. Playing golf is lots of fun at Mattaponi Springs Golf Club, and a brilliant close by hotel is Days Inn Carmel Church/Kings Dominion. For the period of the summer at Old Grays Pond highs are usually in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Anna River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Old Grays Pond is right by the Overland Trail, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Richmond here. Why not camp at Fredericksburg Koa Kampground
while you're here at Old Grays Pond, and whitewater paddling is great on Little River - North Anna Tributary. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Old Grays Dam, and a tremendous spot to camp here at Old Grays Pond is Milford Koa Kampground. There's good hiking along the Gracik Trail.
