This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Charlottesville North, and some nearby water includes Meadow Creek. You can run the rapids of Rivanna River - North Fork close to Northfields Lake; great hiking is available       along the South River Falls Trail. A great location to camp here at Northfields Lake is Heavenly Acres Campground, and don't leave Northfields Lake without first going for a hike along the Saddleback Mountain Trail. If you need a place to stay Fairfield Inn Charlottesville North is a fine choice; there's fine hiking along the Hensley Hollow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Northfields Lake is not the only spot close by, Baileys Pond is a close by lake,                  and camping at Charlottesville Koa Kampground is always a glorious experience. The high level of rain makes Northfields Lake a pretty wet spot; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most, and January on the other hand is the driest. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There's some exciting stuff to see at Northfields Dam close to Northfields Lake, and get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Rivanna River. For the period of the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Northfields Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's.
