Newman Lake is a lake worth visiting. What a location this is for outdoors people. If you're a golfer then a splendid nearby course is Heritage Oaks Golf Course, and Massanutten is a very popular ski area close at hand. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Dry River, and you can stay the night at Brock's Gap Svc. There are tremendous spots to look at along the Furnace Mountain Trail; there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Second Mountain Trail.
