This place, Nders Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Nders Pond is right by the Shillings Trail; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Middle River. The warmest time of the year at Nders Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's; the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, usually in the 50's. All through       the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Nders Pond fall into the 10's. Walnut Hills Campground is a glorious local campground, and why not check out Wood Dam while you're here. North River Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and the Little North Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. Since you're here at Nders Pond why not check out Kings Gap; Jennings Branch is a tremendous whitewater                  spot nearby. The amount of rain that falls at Nders Pond is close to the national average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Nders Pond; Trimbles Mill Trail is a pleasant local trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Staunton-Golf & Conf Ctr, Va is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
