Mercy Branch is a wonderful place to visit, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Narrows Reservoir; Standing Branch Horse Trail is a brilliant local trail. Narrows Reservoir is a good site of typical precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest. If you came for an overnight stay New River Junction Campground is a tremendous       location to camp, and there's delightful hiking along the Ripple Trail. At Narrows Reservoir throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Narrows Reservoir are in the 20's. An afternoon playing golf at Fountain Springs Golf Course is always a delight. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here                  at Narrows Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Dublin is a great spot to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Hoof and Hill Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Walker Creek offers some perfect whitewater; if you get bored of Narrows Reservoir you could also have a look at close by Glen Lyn Bottom Ash Pond. Holiday Inn Express Dublin, Va is a pleasant spot to get some rest; the top of Sentinel Point is easily spotted from Narrows Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Glen Lyn Flyash Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Walker Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
