Mud Hole gets a common amount of annual rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October is when it's the driest. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Smith Island Beach, and a trip to nearby Mink Island Bay is very relaxing. Yeah, come here to Mud Hole for a nice time. There's so much to do       here at Mud Hole that you need to camp here for a while, Kiptopeke State Park is a wonderful place for that, and swamps like Big Creek Marsh next to Mud Hole make for brilliant places to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Bulls Pond in the neighborhood of Mud Hole, it's a charming lake. Myrtle Island Beach is right next door to Mud Hole if you're in a beach type of mood; nearby you find the White Hill Lake Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail.                  You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Hole has to offer, you can camp at Sunset Beach Resort, and Lakewood Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. For the duration of the days of summer at Mud Hole highs are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Hole temperatures sink to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
