If you are in Augusta county it's always a good idea to stop by Mountain Lake. Mountain Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side trip to Coles Run; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Kennedy Ridge Trail.
At Mountain Lake all through the warm months highs are in the 80's, and the night is quite cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with winter

| | lows in the 10's overnight here at Mountain Lake. Everybody close by loves skiing at Wintergreen, and dry warm beds await you at Staunton - Days Inn Mint Springs. There is a good hiking trail near Mountain Lake called the Turkey Pen Ridge Trail, and Hampton Inn is a nice place to get some rest.

on Tye River - North Fork for all you adrenaline kick people. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area close to Mountain Lake has to offer. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Back Creek
- South River Tributary, and the Stony Run Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mountain Lake is a perfect place to camp, Kennedy
Fields Campgrounds is a perfect place; Coles Run Dam is a place that is in the vicinity of Mountain Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Coles Run Reservoir since you're here at Mountain Lake; it's nearby;
Shenandoah Acres Resort is a perfect campground here. From a precipitation point of view Mountain Lake is a rather common place; the month with most of the rain is August; February is when it's the driest.
