I came to this web site for information on Motts Run Reservoir. Not to find out what is in the area. Are there boat rentals at Motts Run? If so how much are they. Is Motts Run a park with places to cook and eat? Can you camp there? Do they allow fishing there? Can you go swiming there? Can you bring your own boat?If so are there any limits on size or type of boat. If they allow fishing what kind of fish are there? Are there any restrictions on type or size of fish that can be caught? How do I get to Motts run? What kind of roads am I going to travel on? Is there a phone number that I can use to make reservations if needed? What hours is Motts Run open?

Motts Run Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Golin Run flows through this vicinity, and close by you discover the Overland Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. The warmest time of the year at Motts Run Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at

| | Motts Run Reservoir temperatures descend to the 20's. The Gracik Trail is a great hiking trail next to Motts Run Reservoir, and float down the rapids of Rapidan River in a kayak.

Motts Run Reservoir gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall;
May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Camping at Wilderness Presidential Resort is always a good experience, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Central Plaza is a wonderful location
to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. You can catch a glimpse of Embrey Hill from Motts Run Reservoir, and a delightful close by hotel is Residence Inn Fredericksburg.
A fine place to camp here at Motts Run Reservoir
is Fredericksburg Koa Kampground, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Jackson Trail.
