If you are traveling by, why not stop by Moody Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Moody Pond, you'll find Tutters Neck Pond which is a beautiful lake, and there are plenty of people from Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News here. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Moody Pond; Lower Chippokes Creek Trail is a tremendous local trail, and Moody Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Anvil Campground is a great local campground.

| | coming to Moody Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. The James River Trail offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Williamsburg. Summertime highs at Moody Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's while Moody Pond nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Lakes? | |

Sure, Matoaka Lake is in the neighborhood; if you're here you can play some golf at Colonial Golf Course & Golf Academy.
This lake is so wonderful. There's some interesting stuff to make out at Kingsmill Dam right next door to
Moody Pond, and Moody Pond is right by the College Run Trail. Take a little trip to College Creek since you're here at Moody Pond, and Kingsmill Resort is a good location to get some rest. Why not go to Hog Point also since you're
here, and a wonderful place to camp here at Moody Pond is Five Forks Motel and Campground.
Moody Pond gets lots of water; through July this area sees the most rain while April is generally the driest month.
