The Sams Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best, and Rodeway Inn Culpeper is a good site to get some rest. That right there is a heap already, but it keeps on going; Merrimac Lake has it all. Hiking along the Broad Hollow Trail is wonderful fun. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Robinson River is so much fun, and a fine nearby hotel is Best Western Culpeper Inn. Merrimac Lake is       a good place of typical precipitation; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month is January. Hughes River and Hazel River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby; if you came for an overnight stay Lake Anna State Park is a great spot to camp. For the period of the months of summer at Merrimac Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 60's. High temperatures through the                  wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Merrimac Lake.
