Beautiful Melody Lake has much to offer visitors. Melody Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are brilliant spots to discover along the Casters Trail. Lakes are great; Bowmans Pond is a lake that's next to Melody Lake. So many entertaining things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time. Don't miss out on a spree to Booker T Washington National Monument since you're here at Melody Lake; you'll meet a lot of folks from Roanoke here.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the North Mountain Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Melody Lake a wet site; the month with most of the rain is October, and the driest month of the year is January. Throughout the summer months here at Melody Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Melody Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Smith Mt. Lake, and Grindstone - George Washington National Forest is a delightful campground here.
There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. An out of the ordinary thing to go to near Melody Lake is Melody Dam; don't leave Melody Lake without first going for a hike along the Curry Creek Trail. Man, is
there a lot of exciting things to do in the neighborhood of Melody Lake. One of the dominant features of the surroundings of Melody Lake is Murray Knob, and if you need a spot to stay Sleep Inn Tanglewood is a pleasant choice.
Soar down the rapids of Bottom Creek in a kayak; camping at Melody Lake is glorious fun, Beartree - George Washington National Forest is a glorious local campground.
