If you are in Franklin county it's always a good idea to stop by Melody Lake. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Smith Mt. Lake is a great choice, and Sleep Inn Tanglewood is a brilliant place to get some rest. Summer at Melody Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime

| | come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Melody Lake tend to be in the 20's. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a tremendous time. Melody Dam is worth checking out if you're here, and don't leave Melody Lake without first going for a hike along the North Mountain Trail.

are plenty of folks from Roanoke here at Melody Lake, and if you came to camp Rising Star Sports & Adventure is a magnificent spot to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. Murray Knob is uncomplicated to spot from Melody Lake; going
for a hike on the Casters Trail is always a magnificent adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you haven’t been to Booker T Washington National Monument, you must schedule some time for it if you're here, and camping at Beartree
- George Washington National Forest is always a delightful experience.
If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bottom Creek; there are tremendous spots to discover along the Curry Creek Trail.
