Beautiful Medmont Lake has much to offer visitors. An average amount of rainfall falls at Medmont Lake; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back many times. Windsor Lake Dam since you're here. At Medmont Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's; the night is a bit cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the
20's overnight here at Medmont Lake.
Beartree - George Washington National Forest is a glorious local campground, and if you've had enough of Medmont Lake, Kimble Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate
up on the brilliant whitewater of Roanoke River - South Fork, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Dragon Tooth Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Going for a hike along
the North Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Spring Valley Lake is just a very short distance away.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone
but if it's for you then we recommend Craig Creek, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Salem Golf Course. Medmont Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Comfort Suites Inn At Ridgewood Farm, and some nearby water includes Barnhardt Creek.
