A typical amount of rain falls here at Meadow Lake; through July this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Strasburg is a splendid place to spend a night or two; hey, Keckley Run is a great local stream. Beans Hill is clearly visible from Meadow Lake, and an attention-grabbing thing to stop by       right next door to Meadow Lake is Meadowlake Dam. If you came for an overnight stay Cove Campgrounds is a tremendous place to camp, and a lake nearby is Crystal Lake. Going for a hike along the Old Romney Grade will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and get soaked paddling on Cedar Creek. Throughout the days of summer at Meadow Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold                  days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Meadow Lake. Battle Of Cedar Creek Campground is a good local campground, and do take a hike on the Signal Knob Trail. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Meadow Lake is great! Hiking along the Little Passage Trail is good fun, and Meadow Lake is not the only spot nearby, Cherokee Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Inn Strasburg VA, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Winchester. Paddling on Back Creek - Potomac Tributary is so much fun, and a pleasant spot to have a look at is Clowser Gap.
