McDaniels Lake is a nice lake to visit. Get wet paddling on Johns Creek, and if you're stopping by from Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford, you won't be the only one. Visit Bee Branch since you're here at McDaniels Lake, and nearby Line Branch Hollow is a perfect site to go. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. | | more than a day at, Moncove Lake State Park is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Interstate Overnight Park is always a great experience. Throughout the warmest time of the year at McDaniels Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Lake is close to the national average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Going for a hike on the Johns Creek Mountain Trail is always a tremendous
adventure; a brilliant nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Blacksburg, Va. This lake is so wonderful. There are good places to discover along the Virginias Walk Trail, and after a long day outdoors Collegiate Inn of Blacksburg is a magnificent
place to spend a night or two. At McDaniels Lake you can see Brushy Mountain, and paddling on Little Stony Creek is so much fun.
