Here at McDaniels Lake you can catch a glimpse of Brushy Mountain, and at Johns Creek Number One Dam in the vicinity of McDaniels Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see. McDaniels Lake is right by the Johns Creek Mountain Trail, and a great site to camp here at McDaniels Lake is Interstate Overnight Park. Float down the rapids of Little Stony Creek in a kayak, and Holiday Inn Blacksburg, Va       is a delightful place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at New River Junction Campground since you're here at McDaniels Lake. At McDaniels Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at McDaniels Lake. So much cool stuff to do here at McDaniels Lake, too delightful                  to be true. Bee Branch flows through this vicinity, and if you come at the right time of year, Johns Creek offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular site for people from Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford, and dry warm beds await you at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Ctr. Take a hike on the Virginias Walk Trail, and Line Branch Hollow is a wonderful location to spend some time.
