A pretty lake like Big Pond right next door to McDaniels Lake is a nice site to explore, and Bee Branch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Johns Creek. There's so much to do here at McDaniels Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Interstate Overnight Park is a splendid place for that. McDaniels
