Mathews Pond is a lake worth visiting. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Having a wonderful time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is trouble-free. Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites FRONT ROYAL BLUE RIDGE SHADOWS is a fine spot to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Rattlesnake Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Mathews Pond; July is the month that gets the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month.

| | lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Shenandoah River, and here at Mathews Pond you can observe Brushy Mountain. Mathews Pond is near Mathews Dam which is a lovely site definitely worth checking out; Ashby Gap is close at hand, and is a wonderful spot. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Mathews Pond. Hiking along the Dickey Hill Trail is brilliant fun, and a wonderful close by hotel is Goodstone | |

But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A splendid spot to camp here at Mathews Pond is Shenandoah River State Park, and you can run the rapids of Rappahannock River. Why not take a refreshing
hike along the Belle Meade Linden Trail, and Mathews Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Sky Meadows State Park is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
At Mathews Pond during the warmest time of the
year highs are in the 80's; the night is fairly colder of course, mostly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Mathews Pond temperatures fall to the 10's.
