So much exciting stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too glorious to be true. What would winter be without some skiing at Massanutten; going for a hike along the Stony Run Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a delightful little tour to Goose Creek, and get wet paddling on Middle River. Man, is there lots of fun things to do in       the Blue Ridge Mountains. While you're here at Massie Pond, you could also take a look at charming Hattons Pond, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Turkey Pen Ridge Trail. During the summertime months at Massie Pond highs are frequently in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Massie Pond are                  in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay KOA Campgrounds is a great place to camp, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Staunton-Waynesboro for sure.
