If you need a location to stay Best Western Waynesboro Inn & Suites Conf Ctr is a wonderful choice, and you can go for a hike on the Mills Creek Trail. What a place this is for outdoors people. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Rockfish River - South Fork; close by you locate the Turkey Pen Ridge Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Wintergreen                  Resort, as expected you could also have a look at Coles Run Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. You just have to fancy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Canada Run flows through this region, and the slopes of Wintergreen are so inviting noone can resist. These mountains rock, just check out all the fun stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Maple Flat Ponds is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Sherando Lake Campground is a good spot to camp nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Back Creek - South River Tributary.
