    If you are in Prince William county it's always a good idea to stop by Manassas National Battlefield Park Noname Ponds. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Bull Run Regional Park is always a splendid experience, and Fairfield Inn By Marriott Manassas is a wonderful location to get some rest. A golf course in close proximity to Manassas National Battlefield Park Noname Ponds is General's Ridge Golf Course, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along  
   the Oak Ridge Trail. All through the summer months highs here at Manassas National Battlefield Park Noname Ponds get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Manassas National Battlefield Park Noname Ponds dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
A quick visit to Chinn Branch in close proximity to Manassas National Battlefield Park Noname Ponds is a wonderful idea, and Culpeper

August 2006 - the campground is NOT closed. They're still in operation, and very nice and helpful, so give them a call....Park sold and closed permanently on April 27, 2002 for development...

Tried to put in at the Fairfax Dam but the City of Fairfax has closed the road and posted no trespassing signs everywhere.  Seem to be pretty serious about prosecuting violators and towing cars.  The portage around dam is too hard for rafts and steep for others....

Regular camping fees at this time (06/08) are $16/night. I have been camping at Greenbelt Park every summer for a week for the last 7 years. It was always at $14 up till last year when it went up to $16. Great Park though! Love it!...
