This lake is so wonderful. Shenandoah National Park is a very good location to check out next to Luray Reservoir, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the White Oak Canyon Trail. So many entertaining things in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just phenomenal. This is a great region for folks who like lakes. Morning Star Lake is a lake in the vicinity; in the       event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shenandoah River - South Fork. You can see Pine Mountain from Luray Reservoir; Kettle Canyon is another nice place to go to nearby. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Luray Reservoir. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Arrowhead is close to Luray Reservoir, and if you need a location to stay Cardinal Inn By Silver Star is a wonderful                  choice. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Luray Shenandoah, and whitewater paddling is great on Rose River. And that's not everything you can do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Camp OutBack is a fine spot to camp; if you're here you can take a hike along the Crusher Ridge Trail. A golf course in the vicinity of Luray Reservoir is Caverns Country Club, and there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Timber Hollow Trail. Country waye RV Resort is a magnificent campground nearby; do go to North Fork Dry Run since you're here at Luray Reservoir. Luray Reservoir gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Luray Reservoir regularly tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's.
