     Luray Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Intown Of Luray; Shenandoah National Park is one of the destinations that are brilliant to pop by close by. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Caverns Country Club. That right there is a load of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Go for a hike on the Lions Tale Trail, and Luray Reservoir  
   is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Camp OutBack is a fine local campground.
All through the long summer days at Luray Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Luray Reservoir are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp is a great place to do that, and if
 
               you've had enough of Luray Reservoir, Edinburg Reservoir is nearby. Cave Hill is clearly visible from Luray Reservoir, and some of the water nearby flows, like Mill Creek.
You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Paddling on Shenandoah River - South Fork is so much fun, obviously you could also have a look at Luray Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. The yearly precipitation here at Luray Reservoir is about average; most of the rain falls through May while January is typically the driest month. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Get wet paddling on Shenandoah River - South Fork, and pleasant hiking is available along the Gap Creek Trail.
If you need a location to stay Skyland Resort is a great choice, and going for a hike on the Duncan Hollow Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Luray Reservoir is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Woodstock Reservoir
Woodstock is an excellent mid summer place to fly fish if not just for the scenery and tranquility of the area. This cold deep reservoir is excellent for catching brookies. Don't be surprised to get chilled if sticking your feet in the water. I fish the reservoir along with the Little Stoney Creek several times during the summer months. Little Stoney has a wonderful population of native brookies....
