This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Long Pond is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Kiptopeke State Park is a fine site to camp nearby; enjoy a round of golf at Bay Creek Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Long Pond has to offer, you can camp at Cherrystone RV Resort, and do take a hike       on the The Haulover. Longs Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and Kiptopeke Beach is a striking beach to stop at. The scenery at Long Dam close to Long Pond is gorgeous, and Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center is a nice place to get some rest. Long Pond is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. Old Plantation Creek is                  a fine spot to stop at, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Osmanthus Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Long Pond. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Long Pond tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Long Pond you have to go to Hunts Point; a lake close by is Dixon and Parson Pond.
