The scenery at Long Dam near Long Pond is beautiful, and you can go for a hike on the Osmanthus Trail. During the days of summer at Long Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight       here at Long Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Long Pond a wet place; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most, and April on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a tremendous little tour to Old Plantation Creek, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites EXMORE is a delightful choice. A round of golf at nearby Bay Creek Golf Club                  is a magnificent way to kill some time. There's so much to do here at Long Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cherrystone RV Resort is a good spot for that. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the area near Long Pond has to offer. Hunts Point is not far from Long Pond at all, and there are great places to look at along the The Haulover. Kiptopeke Beach is a beach near Long Pond that you can take a look at. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Long Pond has to offer, you can camp at Kiptopeke State Park. This lake is so wonderful.
