Beartree - George Washington National Forest is a wonderful local campground, and if you want to check out some interesting animals, visit Mill Mountain Zoo while you're here at Lock Haven Lake. If by chance you crave getting out on the water, Boat Doctor is in the vicinity; playing golf is lots of fun at Countryside Golf. Why not have a look at Loch Haven Lake Dam since you're here, and Jefferson National Forest is a splendid     site to check out on a gorgeous day. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is great! A pleasant nearby hotel is Quality Inn Roanoke Airport, and go on a journey to S E Greer Horse Riding if you want to ride a horse.   Loch Haven Lake is a great lake club with tons of stuff for members to do.
