Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Crossroads Inn & Suites, and Hardware River is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Linton Dam is an interesting thing to check out; you can run the rapids of Rivanna River. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Linton Lake has to offer, you can camp at Small Country Camp Ground, and if you need a place to stay Shenandoah Crossing is a perfect choice.       For the period of the summertime here at Linton Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows all through the wintertime for Linton Lake tend to be in the 20's. Just can't get enough of Linton Lake. There's so much to do here at Linton Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Christopher Run Campground is a good place for that. Linton Lake is a wet                  place that gets a large amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls through August, and February on the other hand is the driest.
