If you are in this part of Virginia make sure to pay a visit to Lehigh Pond. There's some exciting stuff to catch a sight of at Lehigh Dam right next door to Lehigh Pond, and there are plenty of folks from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria here. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Alexandria, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lehigh Pond; Swamp Trail is a fine local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Four Mile Run, and camping at Harmony Place Trailer Park is always a good experience. Good hiking is available along the Upland Trail, and obviously Indian Run is a pretty stream that is worth a visit. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Lehigh Pond rocks! and camping is available at Christopher Run Campground.
At Lehigh Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while
Lehigh Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's. National at Park Place at Van Dorn is a fine location to get some rest; a journey to Fort Washington Park is worthwhile. Lehigh Pond is a good spot of common
precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
You're possibly into lakes, Lake Barcroft is one of those nearby, and the Rock Creek Park Bike Trail offers hiking at its best.
