The scenery at Laurel Lake Dam close to Laurel Lake is charming. There are some good whitewater spots on Grassy Creek, and if you want to check out some exciting stuff, check out The Breaks. Laurel Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is October. While you're here at Laurel Lake it's a wonderful idea       to have a look at Potter Flats, and a good nearby hotel is Breaks Park Motor Lodge. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Take a side tour to Abes Fork; there's whitewater on Russell Fork for all you adrenaline people. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Laurel Lake is peerless! Go for a hike on the Pine Mountain Trail, and after a long day outdoors Gateway Motel is a great                  location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Laurel Lake, do take a tour to Pool Point, and don't leave Laurel Lake without first paying a visit to Cold Spring. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Cumberland Plateau Mountains is peerless! At Laurel Lake you can see The Chimney; Camp Branch Gap is certainly a great spot to go to. Through the summertime highs here at Laurel Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Laurel Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
