Laurel Bed Dam is lovely and it's close to Laurel Bed Lake, and Laurel Bed Lake is a wonderful spot to visit for more than one day, Riverside Campground is a wonderful spot to camp nearby. Throughout the months of summer at Laurel Bed Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's while Laurel Bed Lake nighttime       low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Laurel Bed Lake, you'll discover Gent Lake which is a beautiful lake, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Tumbling Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the neighborhood of Laurel Bed Lake. The delightful Clinch Mountain Spur is here at Laurel Bed Lake. While you're here at Laurel Bed Lake it's a fine idea to stop by Ray Bottoms,                  and an afternoon playing golf at Saltville Golf Course is always a delight. After a long day outdoors Chihowie Knights Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two, and do stop by Laurel Bed Creek since you're here at Laurel Bed Lake. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There are good spots to look at along the Iron Mountain Trail; nearby Brier Cove is a nice place to go. There is a splendid hiking trail right next door to Laurel Bed Lake called the Blue Grass Trail; from Laurel Bed Lake you obtain a pleasant view of Bald Rock. Going for a hike on the Clark Mountain Trail is always a brilliant adventure; Richlands/Claypool Hill Super 8 Motel is a magnificent site to get some rest. Laurel Bed Lake is a pretty wet place mostly with much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.
