Yep, outdoors exciting things to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Lakeland Lake. Going for a hike on the Piney Ridge Trail is always a fine adventure, and paddling on James River is so much fun. Best Western Of Lynchburg is a delightful location to get some rest, and Harris Creek has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Lakeland Lake? American       Legion Lake is in the neighborhood, and there are perfect places to look at along the Terrapin Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Lakeland Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Church Campground is a perfect place for that, and at Lakeland Lake you always meet someone from Lynchburg. There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lakeland Lake called the Cashaw Creek Trail, and you can stay the night at Wildwood Campground. This lake                  is so wonderful.
