This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. All through the months of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Lake of the Clouds. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime are frequently in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake of the Clouds. So much amusing stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time.       Shenandoah River is a brilliant whitewater spot right next door to Lake of the Clouds, and you'll discover a pretty lake called Deer Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Happy Creek, and SUPER 8 MOTEL - FRONT ROYAL is a delightful location to get some rest. This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. A pleasant close by hotel is Holiday Inn                  Hotel & Suites FRONT ROYAL BLUE RIDGE SHADOWS; there are great places to explore along the Rattlesnake Trail. A common amount of rain falls here at Lake of the Clouds; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and January is the month with the least moisture. Go for a hike on the Dickey Hill Trail, and The Blue Ball is trouble-free to spot from Lake of the Clouds. This lake is so wonderful. Lake of the Clouds is great enough to spend more than a day at, Shenandoah River State Park is a great local campground, and Bowling Green Country Club is a golf course nearby. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Lake of the Clouds. Going for a hike on the Belle Meade Linden Trail is always a splendid adventure, and Cloud Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. There's so much to do here at Lake of the Clouds that you need to camp here for a while, Sky Meadows State Park is a fine site for that, and Lovers Leap is something you shouldn't miss since you're here. Why not check out nearby Dry Run if you're here at Lake of the Clouds, and a pretty lake like Spring Lake is a good place to pop by.
