Lake Wilson is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Lake Wilson; most of the rain falls through August while January is regularly the driest month. Camping at Shenandoah River State Park is always a great experience; you don’t have to go far from Lake Wilson to observe the water at Mosby Dam.
That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Lake Wilson has it all.

| | In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rush River; Thumb Run is close to Lake Wilson and is always a pleasure to stop by. Rappahannock River is a good whitewater spot close to Lake Wilson, and don't leave Lake Wilson without first going for a hike along the Rattlesnake Trail. through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and night lows at Lake Wilson during the wintertime mostly dip into the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Warrenton Howard Johnson Inn is a pleasant place
to spend a night or two, and there's good hiking along the The Peak Trail. You can see Poes Mountain from Lake Wilson, and perfect hiking is available along the Belle Meade Linden Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express
Hotel & Suites CULPEPER, and Lake Wilson is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Sky Meadows State Park is a glorious local campground.
