Lakes? Sure, Lake Lawson is in the neighborhood, and First Landing State Park is a great local campground. On a wonderful day you can stop by Willoughby Beach close to Lake Whitehurst; there are great spots to look at along the High Dune Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Desert Cove is not far from Lake Whitehurst at all, and close by you come across the Osmanthus Trail which is a great hiking trail. Why not camp at Providence Mobile Court while you're here at

This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Lagoon Trail is always a great adventure; Little Creek Dam is not far at all from Lake Whitehurst.
