Lake Spring is not the only place nearby, Kimble Lake is a nearby lake, and Comfort Suites Salem is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Dry Creek is a fine local stream, and golf can be played at Salem Golf Course. You're sure to come across some wonderful people from Roanoke here; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Roanoke
