A lake nearby is Pruess Farm Pond, and there are tremendous locations to explore along the Pocosin Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Lewis Mountain Campground, and close by you locate the Pocosin Hollow Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. Courtyard By Marriott Charlottesville North is                  a nice spot to get some rest; some of the water close by flows, like Deep Run. Going for a hike on the South River Falls Trail is always a great adventure, and if you're dropping by from Charlottesville, you won't be the only one. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Lake Skyline. If you get bored of Lake Skyline, you could also explore nearby Greene Hills Lake, and camping at Heavenly Acres Campground is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful.
