Lake Shenandoah is good enough to spend more than a day at, Brock's Gap Svc is a good local campground. Throughout the summertime at Lake Shenandoah highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lake Shenandoah. This lake is so wonderful. There's so       much to do here at Lake Shenandoah that you need to camp here for a while, Harrisonburg- New Market Koa is a great spot for that, and South River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. While you're here at Lake Shenandoah you can take a hike along the Lewis Peak Trail, and Newman Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Dry River, and hey, Gotta ski right? Massanutten is a perfect site to do that. There is a                  delightful hiking trail near Lake Shenandoah called the Lewis Mountain Trail, and playing golf is lots of fun at Lakeview Golf Course. There are plenty of folks from Harrisonburg here at Lake Shenandoah, and dry warm beds await you at Residence Inn Harrisonburg. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. On a great day at Lake Shenandoah you can take a hike along the Furnace Mountain Trail, and there's always Shenandoah Dam to take a look at next to Lake Shenandoah. Lake Shenandoah gets a normal amount of precipitation; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
