It's a wonderful idea to explore Blue Run, it's near Lake Shenandoah. Lakes are wonderful; Lake Skyline is a lake that's near Lake Shenandoah. Lake Shenandoah is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Heavenly Acres Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and float down the rapids of Rivanna River - North Fork in a kayak. Near Lake Shenandoah you locate the Pocosin Trail       which is a splendid hiking trail, and obviously, this is a brilliant vicinity for people who like lakes, Lower Lake Shenandoah is a lake in close proximity. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Shenandoah has to offer, you can camp at Lewis Mountain Campground, and Twin Lakes Dam Number One is a delightful place. What a place this is for outdoors people. There is a glorious hiking trail right next door to Lake Shenandoah called the South                  River Falls Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Charlottesville North. This lake is so wonderful. Doubletree Hotel Charlottesville is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and paddling on South River - Rapidan Tributary is so much fun. From a precipitation point of view Lake Shenandoah is a pretty typical site; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. At Lake Shenandoah all through the summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. During the winter highs are typically in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Shenandoah temperatures fall to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
