Hiking along the South River Falls Trail is brilliant fun, and a delightful close by hotel is Courtyard By Marriott Charlottesville North. During the summer here at Lake Shenandoah, high temperatures typically get into the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Shenandoah are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. People       from Charlottesville love to come to Lake Shenandoah. Lake Shenandoah is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Heavenly Acres Campground is a brilliant place to camp nearby, and South River - Rapidan Tributary is a good whitewater spot close by. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Lake Shenandoah; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
