There are plenty of folks from Charlottesville here at Lake Saponi, and hey, Cedar Run is a pleasant local stream. Having a pleasant time at Lake Saponi is trouble-free. You can take a little tour to Lake Saponi Dam since you're here at Lake Saponi, and glorious hiking is available along the Pocosin Trail. Shenandoah National Park is one of the destinations in close proximity to Lake                  Saponi that are glorious to go to, and you can go for a hike on the Pocosin Hollow Trail. During the warm days of summer at Lake Saponi temperatures are usually in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows at Lake Saponi during the winter mostly plunge into the 20's. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Rivanna River - North Fork. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Saponi has to offer, you can camp at Shenandoah Hills Campground, and there's whitewater on Conway River for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful.
