This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Dublin, and camping at Mcguire's Campground is always a nice experience. There are plenty of folks from Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford here at Lake Powhatan, and there's whitewater on Little Reed Island Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. are some good whitewater spots on Big Reed Island Creek, and Lake Powhatan Dam is a site that is close to Lake Powhatan.
This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. Take a hike on the Run Trail. Summertime brings
highs in the 80's to Lake Powhatan. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures
at Lake Powhatan fall into the 20's.
An average amount of rain falls at Lake Powhatan; most of the rain falls all through July; the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. White Oak Flats is a perfect location here at Lake Powhatan, and the panorama of Chimney Mountain is stunning.
