This lake is so wonderful. Lake Powhatan is a fine place to camp, Mcguire's Campground is a fine place; do set aside some time for White Oak Flats while you're here at Lake Powhatan. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge
Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Powhatan has to offer, you can camp at Claytor Lake State Park; do put some time aside to spend at Rigney Spring if you're here at Lake Powhatan. This lake is so
wonderful. Don't forget to take a brilliant little visit to Bark Camp Branch, and whitewater paddling is good on Little Reed Island Creek. Summertime highs at Lake Powhatan usually tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the
50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Lake Powhatan dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
