The beauty of Lake Laura attracts many people from all around. The peak of Bryce Mountain can be spotted from Lake Laura; not far from Lake Laura you get some nice water scenery at Stony Creek Number Nine Dam. For the period of the warm days of summer at Lake Laura highs are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures

is a nice place to spend a night or two. There are plenty of folks from Harrisonburg here at Lake Laura, and Super 8 Motel Mount Jackson is a great site to get some rest. This place, Lake Laura, it truly has so much outdoors entertaining
stuff. There's tremendous hiking along the Hunkerson Gap Trail; why not head up to Bryce Resort and strap some skis to your feet. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Lake Laura. Hiking is a popular thing to do around
Lake Laura; North Mountain Trail is a glorious local trail, and the snow is tremendous at Massanutten. From a precipitation point of view Lake Laura is a quite typical spot; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest
month of the year is January. Stay the night at Tomahawk Pond Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Mill Creek - Shenandoah Tributary.
