If you are in this part of Virginia make sure to pay a visit to Lake Laura. Any time is a magnificent time at Lake Laura if you go for the outdoors. Gotta ski! Bryce Resort is a good site to do that, and Super 8 Motel Mount Jackson is a good place to get some rest. Dry warm beds await you at New Market Days Inn Battlefield, and don't leave Lake Laura without first going for a hike along the North Mountain Trail. An interesting thing to check out near Lake Laura

| | is Stony Creek Number Nine Dam, and during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Harrisonburg for sure. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lake Laura with night lows in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's while Lake Laura nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. camp nearby, and get wet paddling on Mill Creek - Shenandoah Tributary. This lake is so wonderful. Broad Hollow is a brilliant place to spend some time at, and a quick trip to Alum Run is absolutely a great idea. Very scenic scenery
and fine skiing is what you get at Massanutten, and Orkney Springs Campgrounds is a wonderful local campground. Not far from Lake Laura, you'll come across Lake Carroll which is a gorgeous lake, and whitewater paddling is good on
Shenandoah River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Lake Laura, for example Tomahawk Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Hunkerson Gap Trail. This place rules, just look at all the enjoyable
things to do right next door to Lake Laura. A tremendous vista of striking Bryce Mountain is available from Lake Laura, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Shenandoah Alum Springs. An average amount of rain falls at Lake Laura; the month with most of the rain is May; January on the other hand is the driest.
