The beauty of Lake John is reason enough to stop by. Lake John is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Camping is available at Deerpoint Campground, and lots of people from Winchester come here. Summertime highs at Lake John regularly tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime

This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Middletown, and don't forget to take a nice little trip to Catlett Run. There are other places here than Lake John, for example Loch Linden Lake, and hiking along the Signal Knob Trail is magnificent fun. Lake John is right by the Shawl Gap Trail. That right there is loads already, but it carries on; Lake John has it all. Shenandoah Valley Golf Club is a golf course near Lake John; Lake John Dam is a wonderful
location, undeniably worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Passage Creek For Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; a nice place for whitewater paddling is Happy Creek.
You can
run the rapids of Passage Creek close to Lake John, and Cooley Lake is a glorious lake nearby. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a glorious time. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Strasburg is a good place to spend a night or two; a great location to camp here at Lake John is Battle Of Cedar Creek Campground.
