Paddling on Cub Run is so much fun, and you'll meet a lot of people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria here. Don't leave Lake Jackson without first going for a hike along the Oak Ridge Trail, and get wet paddling on Quantico Creek - South Branch. Camping is available at Oak Ridge Campground. Camping at Bull Run Regional Park is always a tremendous experience, and there's great hiking along the Hickory Ridge Trail.

| | a wonderful outdoors paradise. Lakes are such calm spots, why not check out Upper Occoquan Polish Pond next to Lake Jackson, also Lake Jackson Dam is worth stopping at while you're here. Summertime at Lake Jackson arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. Cabin Run flows through this neighborhood, and there are fine places to look at along the Farms to Forest Trail.
Lake Jackson sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls during August, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Manassas Hills Golf Course Academy is in the vicinity, and dry warm beds await you at Olde Town Inn-Manassas.
