Yeah, come here to Lake Independence       for a great time. Mount Airy is a peak you can make out from Lake Independence; don't forget to pop by Haulover Inlet if you're here. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Lake Independence reach the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lake Independence. The Turkey Neck Trail offers hiking at its best, and Millers Glen Golf                  Course is a pleasant golf course close by. Brambly Inn is a tremendous location to get some rest; let's not forget Chantilly Branch which is a stream that you may bump into while here. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Big Meadow Trail; you can stay the night at Westmoreland State Park. If you need a site to stay Washington & Lee Motel is a good choice. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Independence is close to the national average; May is when you get the most rain here while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
