Dog Run is a nice local stream; on a nice day you can take a hike along the Meadow Trail. A large amount of rainfall falls at Lake Fairfax; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most, and February       on the other hand is the driest. A delightful close by hotel is The Westin Reston Heights; you can run the rapids of Potomac River. The nice people of Washington-Arlington-Alexandria like to hang out nearby. Throughout the days of summer here at Lake Fairfax, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's with winter lows                  in the 20's overnight here at Lake Fairfax. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Fairfax Dam is wonderful and it's close to Lake Fairfax, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Paw Paw Passage Trail. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do right next door to Lake Fairfax. Do explore Lake Anne close to Lake Fairfax, it's a pretty lake, and Valley Mill Camp is a tremendous local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A spree to The Glade is always fun, and Clay Cafe Studios is a delightful campground nearby.
