In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Potomac River, and you'll meet a lot of people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria here. A trip to The Glade is always fun; camping at Lake Fairfax is magnificent fun, Mountain View Campground At Silver Lake is a magnificent local campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around       Lake Fairfax; Meadow Trail is a great local trail, and since you're here, you could also pop by delightful Lake Anne. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff near Lake Fairfax. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Paw Paw Passage Trail; Promus Hotel Corp. is a great location to get some rest. For you golfers we recommend nearby Penderbrook Golf Club, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Lake Fairfax Dam.                  After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn is a fine location to spend a night or two, and there's brilliant hiking along the Potomac Heritage Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little trip to Dog Run if you're here at Lake Fairfax, and why not camp at Hillwood Camping Park while you're here at Lake Fairfax. For the period of the months of summer at Lake Fairfax highs are typically in the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Lake Fairfax through the wintertime mostly fall into the 20's.
