There's so much to do here at Lake De Jarnette that you need to camp here for a while, Paramount's Kings Dominion Campground is a magnificent spot for that, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Coon Trail. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Lake De Jarnette. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Doswell is a magnificent choice, and during your trip here you'll       meet some people from Richmond for sure. Super 8 Motel Ruther Glen is a tremendous location to get some rest; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Gracik Trail. Summertime at Lake De Jarnette comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lake De Jarnette. This lake is so wonderful. If you                  came to camp Milford Koa Kampground is a great place to do that, and the scenery at Lake De Jarnette Dam is beautiful. Fort Washington Park is a very perfect location to stop by near Lake De Jarnette, and get dripping wet paddling on North Anna River. On a perfect day at Lake De Jarnette you can take a hike along the Sawdust Trail, and paddling on Little River - North Anna Tributary is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Bull Run, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Mattaponi Springs Golf Club. The high level of rainfall makes Lake De Jarnette a quite wet place; July is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.   Econo Lodge Doswell, Doswell 3 miles away Conveniently located across from Kings Dominion.
