Virginia has many beautiful lakes and Lake Culpeper is one of them. Lake Front Royal Dam is a site that is in close proximity to Lake Culpeper, and some nearby water includes Moore Run. During the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Lake Culpeper, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. a golfer then a great nearby course is Jackson's Chase Golf Club; a good close by hotel is Scottish Inns Front Royal. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid site to visit close to Lake Culpeper is Bear Hollow; a perfect site for whitewater
paddling is Gooney Run.
While you're here at Lake Culpeper, you could also take a look at pretty Lake Front Royal, and there's a forest here called Harmony Hollow Orchard. Hiking along the Bluff Trail is brilliant fun, and if
you came for an overnight stay Front Royal Koa Kampground is a glorious site to camp. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
